FC MeHigh's Nae Fundătoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochen Diericx in the 3rd minute of play. Nae Fundătoreanu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Lennert Van Meerbeec. But to his dismay, Lennert Van Meerbeec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Francis Lenoir's late challenge caught a FC MeHigh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francis Lenoir helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC MeHigh booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Lenoir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nae Fundătoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Meys in the 18th minute of the match. When Moise Mihele fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC MeHigh's protests and gave Moise Mihele a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, FC MeHigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Mihele to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Meys got free with Nae Fundătoreanu in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nae Fundătoreanu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Christian Meys. But to his dismay, Christian Meys quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rudy Panhuijsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Onaca in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Onaca in the 46th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Rudy Panhuijsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Wyns to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Meys was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Meys in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nae Fundătoreanu saved FC MeHigh from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Christian Meys got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th match minute, FC MeHigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Onaca to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen got control of the ball when Traian Onaca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Curteanu in the 67th minute of play. Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. Rudy Panhuijsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Traian Onaca in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Christian Meys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. FC MeHigh's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
