Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Zeledon Marin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Reis in the 3rd minute of play forced Barsa FC's goalkeeper Federico Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almir Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Almir Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTOS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barsa FC the free kick. After 6 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Almir Schmidt. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Isidoro Barto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Wilson Travassos to make any attempt to save it. In the 13th minute, Almir Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeledon Marin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wilson Travassos made a huge save. After 24 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Artur Travassos. Wilson Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Barto, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Artur Travassos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Angelo Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the game, Luis Telo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barsa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SANTOS F.C the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Reis to make the kick off. When Zeledon Marin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Barsa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Marin couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Isidoro Barto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barsa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 65th minute Isidoro Barto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Reis. Segundo Clis took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Travassos. Wilson Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Segundo Clis struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Wilson Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barsa FC. A collision led to Barsa FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Segundo Clis hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Isidoro Barto made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Travassos. SANTOS F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. SANTOS F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
