When Gustaw Marchefka came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the SMOCZANKA MIELEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaw Marchefka couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu's Cengizhan Akgüngör played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napoleon Giertych in the 55th minute of play. Kazimierz Nowakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sertel Yasun in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Aybek Laçin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kazimierz Nowakowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yüksel Mukaddes in the 72nd minute of play forced SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Kazimierz Nowakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aybek Laçin scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kazimierz Nowakowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
