Spectators: 7721 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Allan Bramble kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Rod Reading got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Afonso Baiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Verde FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Igor Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Wills in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Villa Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Arí Lucas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ashley Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leicester Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Ashley Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Max Wills struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Igor Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester Lions. Leicester Lions's Simon Slater played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Vergílio in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute Rob Coulshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Warren Hardcastle hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Igor Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Bramble, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Afonso Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Verde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Leyburn in the 42nd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Baiano to make the kick off. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Villa Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Barney Haxby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Afonso Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Slater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Marcus Nóbrega got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Barros came free, but Simon Slater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Camargo made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Allan Bramble sent off a good shot on target. Ashley Hamilton charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ashley Hamilton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villa Verde FC booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Haxby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Camargo was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Max Wills capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Max Wills really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. During the 90th minute of the match Ashley Hamilton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ashley Hamilton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leicester Lions players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villa Verde FC.
