The crowd rose to their feet as Nathan Leyburn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alonzo Marques. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Beinn Medley kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Simon Slater took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Roldan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Lehen's late challenge caught a Leicester Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Lehen helped the player get up and apologised. Angelino Lehen hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when ⚽TONY FC⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Bramble got free with Alonzo Marques in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Slater didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelino Lehen went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Bramble stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Max Wills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Wills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ⚽TONY FC⚽'s Alonzo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Wills in the 52nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, ⚽TONY FC⚽'s Simon Slater threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenzo Shantala, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rod Reading was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, one of Leicester Lions:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leicester Lions.
