The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vincent Wekenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Johnsson in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Johan Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Wekenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Johnsson in the 19th minute of play forced De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Johannes Örtendahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincent Wekenburg. De Digitale Dribbelaars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johannes Örtendahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vincent Wekenburg came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Degerfors IF's Claes Stenman. But to his dismay, Claes Stenman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Johan Johnsson scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Wekenburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Walter Ödman got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isak Termander in the 41st minute of play forced De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincent Wekenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Örtendahl in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Degerfors IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Johan Johnsson made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wim Schoonbeek during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, De Digitale Dribbelaars's Wim Schoonbeek got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Johannes Örtendahl fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vincent Wekenburg, passed just outside the right post. De Digitale Dribbelaars's Vincent Wekenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Örtendahl in the 60th minute of play. Vincent Wekenburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johan Johnsson in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Johannes Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Wekenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. De Digitale Dribbelaars's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Johan Johnsson scored to the left of an out of position Vincent Wekenburg, making the score, 0-5. 73 minutes into the match, De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claes Stenman. Wessel Wisgerhof charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wessel Wisgerhof the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to De Digitale Dribbelaars getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wessel Wisgerhof hit a great ball. Johannes Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Vincent Wekenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claes Stenman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Vincent Wekenburg made a huge save. After 79 played minutes De Digitale Dribbelaars got a freekick which was hit by Wim Schoonbeek. With an all-out effort, Degerfors IF's Vincent Wekenburg threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johannes Örtendahl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vincent Wekenburg made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Johan Johnsson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to De Digitale Dribbelaars getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Wessel Wisgerhof hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, De Digitale Dribbelaars's Foeke Palsma got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Örtendahl in the 94th minute of play forced De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Vincent Wekenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Degerfors IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
