With an all-out effort, Degerfors IF's Ábel Barta threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johannes Örtendahl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dan Grönberg hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's György Király broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Bruhn in the 12th minute of play forced Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Ábel Barta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute György Király shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. György Kun hit a great ball. Johan Johnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ábel Barta made a huge save. György Király fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Lindström having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Hungarian Olympic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by György Kun to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Johan Johnsson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Barta. Ábel Barta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ábel Barta made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Johan Johnsson sent off a good shot on target. Ábel Barta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Markusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hungarian Olympic's Pál Medgyesi got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Ábel Barta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Grönberg. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Dan Grönberg took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ábel Barta to make any attempt to save it. Pontus Lindström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from László Nemes went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

The audience thought a goal was coming when László Nemes got free with Pontus Lindström in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Johannes Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pontus Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by László Nemes in the 57th minute. Dan Grönberg kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when György Király got free with Pontus Lindström in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute György Király shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Örtendahl came free, but Ábel Barta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Hungarian Olympic's Sándor Czakó seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sándor Czakó the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hungarian Olympic protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sándor Czakó had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sándor Czakó hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Károly Berki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Degerfors IF had won after a very even match.
