Match Report
The Duck Pen

Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Lawrence Banks made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd match minute, Real Death Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Hassell to maneuver through the defense. Ronan Marler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lope Villandiego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lawrence Banks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damaso Tejeyra charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Tejeyra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Damaso Tejeyra kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Urki Olivera kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Salbatore Guaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Banks, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Benvido Bello came free, but Ronan Marler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peruanton Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lawrence Banks got free with Salbatore Guaras in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Benvido Bello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronan Marler was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marty Holden got free with Salbatore Guaras in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Lope Villandiego notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler. Ronan Marler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benvido Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan Marler having to interfere. Real Death Ducks's Isaac Harrison couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carqueja. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Lope Villandiego made the kick off in the second half. Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Real Death Ducks from getting a goal against them. Salbatore Guaras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Banks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carqueja's Salbatore Guaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jermaine Brearley in the 66th minute of play. Lope Villandiego was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Carqueja's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ronan Marler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iratxo Vidal in the 73rd minute. Ronan Marler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Renedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st match minute, Carqueja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urki Olivera to maneuver through the defense. Peruanton Lago's late challenge caught a Real Death Ducks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peruanton Lago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Peruanton Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronan Marler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urki Olivera in the 87th minute. Marty Holden struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Salbatore Guaras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Death Ducks. Benvido Bello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Lope Villandiego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carqueja's supporters rose to their feet, but Lope Villandiego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan Marler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Carqueja supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carqueja would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
