An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Luís Gustavo Coelho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Kevin Delia put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Celsinho Cerezo. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, Charles Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Micallef came out of the goal and Charles Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Bruninho Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match George Xiberras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celsinho Cerezo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Attard Gunners's Patrick Micallef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Attard Gunners from getting a goal against them. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charles Pereira in the 45th minute. At last the ball reached Osvaldinho de Amaral at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Attard Gunners. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Delia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Kevin Delia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Attard Gunners's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ the free kick. After 52 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Delia. With a little luck, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Celsinho Cerezo got control of the ball when Robert Gera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didi Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Micallef having to interfere. If Luís Gustavo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Pereira in the 70th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Patrick Micallef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané de Queiroz scored 2-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Micallef, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané de Queiroz in the 74th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Patrick Micallef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Mané de Queiroz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Attard Gunners's Patrick Micallef. Patrick Micallef was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Mané de Queiroz got a free kick in the 80th minute. Charles Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Attard Gunners's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
