Segundo Gauargi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Zeledon Bravain made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Segundo Gauargi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Zeledon Bravain to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Segundo Gauargi in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Bravain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Segundo Gauargi in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zeledon Bravain, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Honorato Atarrabi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eduardo Mascareñas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Mascareñas in the 39th minute of play forced Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s goalkeeper Benito Guter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Urrutia Tacon was slow to take the kick. During this time Liga de Quito's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Liga de Quito's Urrutia Tacon to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Guter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 42 played minutes Cartero de Agronomia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luis Ur. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Mascareñas was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Bravain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Enol in the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Gauargi in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Bravain saved Liga de Quito from getting behind. When Urrutia Tacon fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga de Quito's protests and gave Urrutia Tacon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Urrutia Tacon hit a great ball. Felipe Tobalina kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Zeledon Bravain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Segundo Gauargi went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Anselmo Errando got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Bernardino Lander notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain.
