Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Manly FC's Kent Barling started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Niles Kuskoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bravain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute Manly FC were awarded a corner. Neale Franklin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Neale Franklin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeledon Bravain quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 7th minute, Kent Barling made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Bravain. Liga de Quito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Niles Kuskoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niles Kuskoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeledon Bravain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Barling, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Diego Echave kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Kent Barling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zeledon Bravain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manly FC's Kent Barling in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liga de Quito's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Kent Barling sped through Liga de Quito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeledon Bravain. Zeledon Bravain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Barling's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Zeruko Freije got a free kick in the 28th minute. Manly FC's Neale Franklin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Liga de Quito. 34 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Munroe Brien came free, but Zeledon Bravain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Barling in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Bravain saved Liga de Quito from getting behind. After 48 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Mascareñas. After the first half Manly FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Echave during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niles Kuskoff in the 58th minute of play. Manly FC's Kirby Chant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Cianca in the 59th minute of play. Zeledon Bravain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Barling in the 64th minute of the match. Zeledon Bravain was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fletcher Brennand showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Liga de Quito from getting a goal against them. Kent Barling received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeledon Bravain came out and tried to block the shot, but Kent Barling slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the game, Leandro Cianca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liga de Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manly FC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Leandro Cianca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Cianca to maneuver through the defense. Zeledon Bravain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niles Kuskoff in the 78th minute of play. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neale Franklin in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Manly FC's Niles Kuskoff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. If Kent Barling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Eduardo Mascareñas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liga de Quito and the Manly FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduardo Mascareñas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The supporters of Manly FC booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeruko Freije didn't get a good kick on the ball.
