The supporters of MS Rybnik booed when FC Kopli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maarek Poltimäe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, FC Kopli's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Hludzenski came free, but Aivar Laineste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 played minutes FC Kopli got a freekick which was hit by Maarek Poltimäe. Jann Leiten hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Leszek Hludzenski took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aivar Laineste. Aivar Laineste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 1-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Jann Leiten elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Walery Zacharek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aivar Laineste was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to FC Kopli getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lembit Õigus hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Leszek Hludzenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aivar Laineste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, MS Rybnik's Franciszek Wojtyna got control of the ball when Lembit Õigus tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, FC Kopli's Lembit Õigus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franciszek Wojtyna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Franciszek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lembit Õigus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lembit Õigus fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kopli's protests and gave Lembit Õigus a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes FC Kopli got a freekick which was hit by Lembit Õigus. After a rather tough play, FC Kopli's Maarek Laaser got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a rather tough play, MS Rybnik's Marek Spychalski got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lembit Õigus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute, FC Kopli's Maarek Rajamäe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maarek Rajamäe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Kopli protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maarek Rajamäe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Kopli! 77 minutes into the match, FC Kopli's goal looked a bit too open when Walery Zacharek came free, but Aivar Laineste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, MS Rybnik's Leszek Hludzenski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aivar Laineste. Aivar Laineste yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Franciszek Wojtyna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lembit Õigus in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oskar Vaha during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes FC Kopli got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Vaha. In the 98th match minute, FC Kopli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maarek Poltimäe to maneuver through the defense.
