The supporters of FC Kopli booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arden Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juste Reynolds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jann Leiten in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Lembit Õigus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aivar Laineste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Cherry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Kopli defense, Rudy Cherry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aivar Laineste. The FC Kopli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aivar Laineste should have stopped the shot. Aivar Laineste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Cherry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, FC Kopli's goalkeeper Aivar Laineste had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graham Gareau. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Rudy Cherry took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Aivar Laineste to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th minute, Maarek Poltimäe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rudy Cherry was the one to do the kick off. Hardi Pett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Juste Reynolds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, FC Kopli's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Cherry came free, but Aivar Laineste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Kopli's Maarek Rajamäe got a free kick in the 66th minute. Aivar Laineste didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Graham Gareau went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, FC Kopli's Martin Ütt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Martin Ütt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Kopli protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Martin Ütt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Martin Ütt kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Hardi Pett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Varennes had won after a very even match.
