Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Manuel Debecker got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mike Van Hooveldt made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Iurie Ignat sent off a good shot on target. After 9 played minutes FC Draconia got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Debecker. When Manuel Debecker came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the FC Draconia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Debecker couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Draconia booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Jupâneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Viorel Stoicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Van Hooveldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelis Van De Ven came free, but Martin Antim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Galiceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Antim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Kempeneers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, FC Draconia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Pancken to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Udrea's late challenge caught a FC Draconia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgil Udrea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Draconia booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Udrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfons Ceulemans was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Valea Buzăului's zone, Alfons Ceulemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Antim came out of the goal and Alfons Ceulemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Dragoș was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in -BZF- Valea Buzăului fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Alfons Ceulemans placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 58th minute, Costică Stoleru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Jupâneanu. 63 minutes into the match, Gilian Sulems dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Antim, 0-1. After 70 minutes of play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Iurie Ignat made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mike Van Hooveldt was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 77 minutes, Jorge Kempeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Draconia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Kempeneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 minutes, Ion Blăjan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Valea Buzăului and the FC Draconia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Ion Blăjan. 85 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Stoleru came free, but Mike Van Hooveldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iurie Ignat kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Ciucă. A collision led to FC Draconia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gilian Sulems hit a great ball. The FC Draconia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented -BZF- Valea Buzăului from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
