The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Claudinho Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dogelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Res Non Verba the free kick. Dogelo's Pedro Augusto Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santana Centeñes in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argi Guiles in the 19th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Mineiro in the 30th minute of play forced Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Rai Pedros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Res Non Verba's Rai Pedros got control of the ball when Ian Mineiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rai Pedros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Rai Pedros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Mineiro. After 40 played minutes Dogelo got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Brasil. Abelardo Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rai Pedros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Mineiro's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Garoa Matesanz hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Res Non Verba's Santana Centeñes got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rai Pedros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Arce hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Dogelo defense, Santana Centeñes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Augusto Silva. The Dogelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Augusto Silva should have stopped the shot. Valdo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rai Pedros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Res Non Verba defense, Valdo Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rai Pedros. The Res Non Verba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rai Pedros should have stopped the shot. Despite being the better team, Res Non Verba failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
