The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Theofanis Tseberlidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Theofanis Tseberlidis came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manantiales Fc's Aurelio Pero. But to his dismay, Aurelio Pero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 10th minute Valerios Melogiannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Charro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petros Gogolos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Grigoris Bertsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Manantiales Fc's Isidoro Ibañez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theofanis Tseberlidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valerios Melogiannis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Seremetiadis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Charro having to make a save. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Manantiales Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Laffitte didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerios Melogiannis in the 37th minute of play forced Manantiales Fc's goalkeeper Haroldo Charro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Rivas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Theofanis Tseberlidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manantiales Fc. Haroldo Charro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panagiotis Maragos in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Manantiales Fc's Haroldo Charro got control of the ball when Valerios Melogiannis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valerios Melogiannis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 68th playminute. Haroldo Charro was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Andreas Seremetiadis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andreas Seremetiadis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
