Aquilino Florian charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquilino Florian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Jenaro in the 34th minute of play forced Saint Côme de Fresné's goalkeeper Noël Clenet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Aquilino Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Florian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Americo Pero hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillaume Barillot made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Guillaume Barillot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Macerio was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Noël Clenet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillaume Barillot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodosio Macerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
