The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Scrotum Kickers FC's Sven Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Barillot in the 6th minute of play. Saint Côme de Fresné's Noël Clenet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Broberg in the 7th minute of play. Kim Enström scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noël Clenet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Scrotum Kickers FC's Göran Drewitz got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Côme Durieu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Palmquist skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd minute, Paul Broberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noël Clenet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Kim Enström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scrotum Kickers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Enström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noël Clenet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Scrotum Kickers FC's goalkeeper Sven Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thibaut Abeille. Sven Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Barillot in the 31st minute of play. Saint Côme de Fresné's Guillaume Barillot managed to work through Scrotum Kickers FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Guillaume Barillot dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mats Strömbom hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Scrotum Kickers FC booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Barnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Broberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noël Clenet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Broberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Håkan Sandström had to leave the field with a concussion. 44 minutes into the game, Gérard Chambard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saint Côme de Fresné's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scrotum Kickers FC the free kick. Scrotum Kickers FC made a substitution. Joel Duset replaced Håkan Sandström. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saint Côme de Fresné fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Scrotum Kickers FC. Kim Enström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Noël Clenet. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Broberg to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Roland Bäcklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Dag Bollström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scrotum Kickers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Côme de Fresné the free kick. After a rather tough play, Scrotum Kickers FC's Dag Bollström got a free kick in the 56th minute. Guillaume Barillot took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven Palmquist. Sven Palmquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ruben Bénier charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Bénier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Saint Côme de Fresné's Ruben Bénier got a free kick in the 59th minute. Roland Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kim Enström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Scrotum Kickers FC booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gérard Chambard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Broberg got free with Noël Clenet in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thibaut Abeille might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Palmquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thibaut Abeille ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Scrotum Kickers FC's Göran Drewitz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sven Palmquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillaume Barillot went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute, Paul Broberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scrotum Kickers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Sven Palmquist came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Saint Côme de Fresné's Yazid Debuire. But to his dismay, Yazid Debuire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivier Barnier in the 89th minute of play forced Scrotum Kickers FC's goalkeeper Sven Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Saint Côme de Fresné booed when Scrotum Kickers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Drewitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillaume Barillot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Saint Côme de Fresné's Noël Clenet got control of the ball when Joel Duset tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillaume Barillot, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Saint Côme de Fresné supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scrotum Kickers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Scrotum Kickers FC.
