The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kral Hasan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when PreZiDenT SaRuMaN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avni Kurceren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, GREEN LIONS's Valerios Melogiannis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hasan Bank made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Theofanis Tseberlidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avni Kurceren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Seremetiadis took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hasan Bank. Hasan Bank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Hasan Bank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Seremetiadis in the 22nd minute of play. PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's Hasan Bank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Seremetiadis in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Avni Kurceren came free, but Theofanis Tseberlidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Avni Kurceren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theofanis Tseberlidis was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Avni Kurceren sped through GREEN LIONS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Theofanis Tseberlidis. Theofanis Tseberlidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kral Hasan went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigoris Bertsis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Panagiotis Maragos got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ant Uyguner in the 43rd minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Theofanis Tseberlidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's Mehmet Yuvakuran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Theofanis Tseberlidis. Theofanis Tseberlidis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's Hasan Bank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Seremetiadis in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Maragos came free, but Hasan Bank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Panagiotis Maragos hit a great ball. Andreas Seremetiadis took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hasan Bank. Hasan Bank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halit Bayraktaroğlu got free with Theofanis Tseberlidis in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bilal Erdemli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theofanis Tseberlidis was a little too slow when Halit Bayraktaroğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-4. In the 90th minute, Avni Kurceren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Theofanis Tseberlidis. The goal made the score 3-5. With a little luck, GREEN LIONS's Theofanis Tseberlidis got control of the ball when Onur Ali Samim tried to sneak it across the goal line. The PreZiDenT SaRuMaN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PreZiDenT SaRuMaN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
