Alexsandro Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Cordaro came free, but Alexsandro Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Prata charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Prata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sirius Dog booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Darien in the 37th minute of play forced Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Alexsandro Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Serafino Aguilera fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sirius Dog's protests and gave Serafino Aguilera a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sirius Dog's Serafino Aguilera got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Nereo Pello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tadeu Alagoano. Nereo Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Maranhense in the 84th minute of play. With 88 minutes on the clock, Tadeu Alagoano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Vladimiro Aguirre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexsandro Carioca having to make a save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
