The referee showed Nando das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nando das Neves hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th match minute, TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Nilton Costas short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Theofanis Tseberlidis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 10th minute Andreas Seremetiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GREEN LIONS's Theofanis Tseberlidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save GREEN LIONS from getting a goal against them. In the 20th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akis Moustakis to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Novaes. When Antonis Karapialis fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEN LIONS's protests and gave Antonis Karapialis a yellow card for diving instead. Antonis Karapialis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Orlando Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chrisostomos Kouvelis in the 28th minute of play. Antonis Karapialis was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Nilton Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilton Costa succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Nilton Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theofanis Tseberlidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Nando das Neves sped through GREEN LIONS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Theofanis Tseberlidis. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Azevedo made a kick off. Theofanis Tseberlidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Costa in the 51st minute of play. Chrisostomos Kouvelis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Orlando Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikolas Kalapodas in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ-'s Flavinho Abraão got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match, Chrisostomos Kouvelis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Orlando Paraíba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 64 minutes into the game, Chrisostomos Kouvelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Orlando Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Azevedo in the 67th minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Theofanis Tseberlidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theofanis Tseberlidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in GREEN LIONS's zone, Nilton Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theofanis Tseberlidis came out of the goal and Nilton Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Bertsis. TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ-'s Adriano Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ-'s Nilton Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theofanis Tseberlidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ-'s zone, Nikolas Kalapodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Paraíba came out of the goal and Nikolas Kalapodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Bertsis. Theofanis Tseberlidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. GREEN LIONS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
