The audience thought a goal was coming when Panagiotis Maragos got free with Conrado Martxot in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Osvaldo Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akis Moustakis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Nikolas Kalapodas came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the GREEN LIONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolas Kalapodas couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Manantiales Fc defense, Panagiotis Maragos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Martxot. The Manantiales Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Martxot should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute, Nunez Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Seremetiadis in the 56th minute of play forced Manantiales Fc's goalkeeper Conrado Martxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Aurelio Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manantiales Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Pero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theofanis Tseberlidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Manantiales Fc fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Manantiales Fc's Aurelio Pero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Conrado Martxot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 78 minutes, Panagiotis Maragos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GREEN LIONS and the Manantiales Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Panagiotis Maragos. 79 minutes into the game, Akis Moustakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GREEN LIONS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manantiales Fc the free kick. After 79 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Akis Moustakis. In the 80th minute of the match Celso Dino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theofanis Tseberlidis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aurelio Pero scored 2-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theofanis Tseberlidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Grigoris Bertsis's late challenge caught a Manantiales Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grigoris Bertsis helped the player get up and apologised. Grigoris Bertsis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Celso Dino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
