An unexpectedly hard shot by Thrasivoulos Moisiadis in the 3rd minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Henny Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Anestis Kapataidakis in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Verwachting's Joop Heinen. With a little luck, Verwachting's Henny Jans got control of the ball when Thrasivoulos Moisiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute Thrasivoulos Moisiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henny Jans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferry van Zalingen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stephan Boezeman made a kick off. Anestis Kapataidakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henny Jans. Verwachting's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henny Jans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Verwachting's Henny Jans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thrasivoulos Moisiadis in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Baker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kostas Triantopoulos made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alekos Korakakis immediately put the ball in play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ΠΑΟΚ FC fully deserved thier win.
