With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henny Jans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reinaldo Pagueguy kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerrit Baker to maneuver through the defense. Henny Jans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Pagueguy in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Pagueguy in the 37th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Henny Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerrit Baker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Francisco Canitrot made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrit Baker got free with Francisco Canitrot in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henny Jans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Pagueguy, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Reinaldo Pagueguy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Pagueguy was the one to do the kick off. Adriano Malaree didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Barrabases de Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Peeters came free, but Francisco Canitrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferrán Andueza charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferrán Andueza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
