The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Stig-Arne Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Maule saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Vermudo in the 5th minute of play. Higinio Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Petersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Mauro Vermudo made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Häll. AC Mayonnaise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Mauro Vermudo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Häll, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Vermudo in the 13th minute of play forced AC Mayonnaise's goalkeeper Johannes Häll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Valentin Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AC Mayonnaise's Johannes Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Vermudo in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Maule made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Saturnino Ireno hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Leif Skräddare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Social y Dep. After a defensive mix-up in Social y Dep. Patagonia's zone, Sune Lidberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Maule came out of the goal and Sune Lidberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Higinio Maule made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Stig-Arne Ödman sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the game, Angelo Lalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Social y Dep. Patagonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Mayonnaise the free kick. AC Mayonnaise made a substitution. Viggo Hellström replaced Sune Lidberg. In the 60th minute, Angelo Lalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Stig-Arne Ödman made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Maule. Social y Dep. Patagonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Stig-Arne Ödman hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Teo Mergildo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johannes Häll showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Saturnino Ireno hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Skräddare to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Ireno took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Häll. Johannes Häll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Higinio Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Arne Ödman, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to AC Mayonnaise getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mikael Blomqvist hit a great ball. Johannes Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Ireno in the 85th minute of play. Rodolfo Corderun charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Corderun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Social y Dep. Patagonia getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rodolfo Corderun hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Walter Mårtensson. Teo Mergildo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Johannes Häll. AC Mayonnaise's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Johannes Häll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Maiorga went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Higinio Maule was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stig-Arne Ödman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-4 in the 97 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
