Jairo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Oihan in the 4th minute of play. Fidel Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Frascuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Celestino Evangelista took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fidel Hernando to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Evangelista in the 12th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Palermo AFC's Clodoveo Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fidel Hernando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Teofilio during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angel Teofilio hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Fidel Hernando was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Teodosio Stanislao. After 26 minutes, Antonio Mendebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northern California and the Palermo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Northern California getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Antonio Mendebal hit a great ball. Clodoveo Rodriguez scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Hernando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jairo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Olo in the 30th minute of play. Samuel Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Alonso having to interfere. With a little luck, Northern California's Fidel Hernando got control of the ball when Clodoveo Rodriguez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Teofilio came free, but Jairo Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Angel Teofilio made the kick off in the second half. Marcelino Olo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palermo AFC's Jairo Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Oihan in the 53rd minute of play. Elias Barto kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jairo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Oihan in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Northern California's Angel Teofilio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Alonso. That made the score 3-1 after 60 minutes of play. In the 63rd minute, Octavio Frascuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Angel Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Rodriguez in the 74th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Antonio Mendebal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. A collision led to Northern California getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Antonio Mendebal hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Celestino Evangelista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo AFC and the Northern California players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Northern California booed when Palermo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Evangelista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Celestino Evangelista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Teofilio was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 86 minutes into the game, Palermo AFC's Teodosio Stanislao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fidel Hernando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After 88 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Damario. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Octavio Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Frascuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Hernando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Northern California players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palermo AFC.
