Spectators: 7792 (Terracing: 5845, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jardel Coutinho kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, The Cavern Club's Romulo Huly seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romulo Huly the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of The Cavern Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romulo Huly had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of The Cavern Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of H4K.BR:s goal. The referee gave H4K.BR a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yuri Vianna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Cavern Club's Tomás Esiquio. 1-0. Tomás Esiquio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Coutinho in the 18th minute of the match. Cléber Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Palermo in the 19th minute of play. Cléber Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Geronimo Vincente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Martín Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléber Arantes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rodriguinho Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Vianna, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelsinho Passos during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nelsinho Passos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Eusebio Larpe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléber Arantes skillfully saved the ball.

The Cavern Club's Basilio Lorien was substituted for Ermegildo Otsoko. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martín Palermo was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto Barral during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of The Cavern Club booed when H4K.BR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martín Palermo got free with Cléber Arantes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes The Cavern Club got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Lorien. In the 61st minute, Basilio Lorien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. H4K.BR's Nelsinho Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Coutinho came free, but Tomás Esiquio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, H4K.BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Vincente kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Jardel Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tomás Esiquio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jardel Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cléber Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Lorien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Rodriguinho Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jardel Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tomás Esiquio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for H4K.BR. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Nelsinho Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. H4K.BR's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Esiquio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute Rodriguinho Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Esiquio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes The Cavern Club got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Lorien. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodriguinho Fernandes in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Esiquio saved The Cavern Club from getting behind. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
