When Emanuel Mel fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MOEBIO's protests and gave Emanuel Mel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Emanuel Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Aquiles Castulo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Adhemar Pinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aquiles Castulo. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cacá Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Eneas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to MOEBIO getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Diego Ipar hit a great ball. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when MOEBIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Ezequiel Handi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goalkeeper Aquiles Castulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adhemar Pinho. When Filomeno Luar came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the MOEBIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Luar couldn't finish the play. Nilton Bittencourt scored 3-0 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquiles Castulo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deivid Moreira to make the kick off. Diego Ipar hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Emanuel Mel got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A very good chance. Anselmo Venerando charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Venerando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquiles Castulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Viana in the 93rd minute of play. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
