In the 12th minute Nilton Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iuri Santos during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 23 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Cavalcante came free, but Cacá Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Romero in the 32nd minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedito Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cacá Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Wilton Viana hit a great ball. Humberto Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Amauri Romero made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa got control of the ball when Benedito Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Club Sacode Football CIMZ booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, Club Sacode Football CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match Lino Freire shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haroldo Pitta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Club Sacode Football CIMZ getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Aníbal Garcia hit a great ball. Club Sacode Football CIMZ made a substitution. Túlio Oliveira replaced Iuri Santos. In the 62nd minute, Aníbal Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Wilton Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Club Sacode Football CIMZ's Haroldo Pitta didn't even have to move. Oséas das Neves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cacá Sousa firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa got control of the ball when Oséas das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedito Fernandez hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Club Sacode Football CIMZ's Haroldo Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Moreira in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
