The tension between the Colo-Colo and the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Colo-Colo got a freekick which was hit by Tanausu Mac Donald. After having played for 6 minutes, Wilton Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matteo Escuti hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Arnau Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cacá Sousa was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Andrés Warnes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, one of Colo-Colo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Colo-Colo:s Daníel Moron showed great skill when he stopped Wilton Viana:s penalty. After having played for 40 minutes, Nilton Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 44 played minutes, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Wilton Viana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daníel Moron came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Nilton Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Colo-Colo defense, Lucas Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daníel Moron. The Colo-Colo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daníel Moron should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute, Nilton Bittencourt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Lucas Neiva made a precise shot to the right of Daníel Moron. Colo-Colo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Daníel Moron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Moreira in the 72nd minute of the match. Daníel Moron made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Nilton Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. If Lucas Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Nafarroa Quililongo replaced Rogelio Anders. Colo-Colo's Uriel Salcedo was substituted for Norberto Portillo. Thanks to some nice moves Lucas Neiva could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Daníel Moron however easily saved by the left post. After 84 minutes Colo-Colo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilton Viana who took care of the corner kick. Anselmo Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Vasconcelos. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matteo Escuti in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matteo Escuti in the 90th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilton Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daníel Moron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colo-Colo.
