Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clemencín Varas started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, MOEBIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Chumo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when MOEBIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Acuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Chumo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. A collision led to MOEBIO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alvaro Chumo hit a great ball. Clemente Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of MOEBIO booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Garfias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Matxin struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Teodosio Cerda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MOEBIO. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inocencio Mosca during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Teodosio Pimentel hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemente Barros got a free kick in the 38th minute. MOEBIO's Flavio Eneas got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Flavio Eneas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodosio Cerda. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavio Eneas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by José Antonio Porras. 53 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goalkeeper Aquiles Castulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastián Garfias. After 60 minutes, Emanuel Mel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MOEBIO and the Club Deportes Santa Cruz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Inocencio Mosca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aquiles Castulo but with some difficulty. Aquiles Castulo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Garfias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Barros to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Sebastián Garfias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aquiles Castulo. Sebastián Garfias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Fabio Matxin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match.
