In the 5th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Mosca to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Barros came free, but Marcus Persson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gerónimo Alonso hit a great ball. Christian Högberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Björck in the 21st minute of play. Raimundo Backhouse hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Christian Högberg struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Teodosio Cerda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Gubbhöft. After 28 played minutes BK Gubbhöft got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Strömberg. 29 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goal looked a bit too open when José Antonio Porras came free, but Marcus Persson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 35 in the game by Clemencín Varas from a close distance when the talented Marcus Persson managed to make a qualified save. BK Gubbhöft's players were relieved. 45 minutes into the match, Clemente Barros notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of BK Gubbhöft's Marcus Persson. Marcus Persson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to BK Gubbhöft getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dennis Modig hit a great ball. Clemencín Varas scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Persson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Otto Björck got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were furious when Teodosio Pimentel was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 76th minute, one of Club Deportes Santa Cruz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Deportes Santa Cruz. Club Deportes Santa Cruz:s Teodosio Cerda showed great skill when he stopped Otto Björck:s penalty. 78 minutes into the match, Otto Björck notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda. Teodosio Cerda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anton Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Teodosio Cerda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otto Björck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Persson having to interfere. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when BK Gubbhöft was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Raimundo Backhouse shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Persson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
