LTA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colo-Colo the free kick. In the 31st minute, Norberto Portillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Colo-Colo booed when LTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Cisco scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Pérez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lázaro Ayala took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinicio Pérez. Vinicio Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Orlanda in the 55th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Vinicio Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LTA FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
