When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Amado Pacorro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Leonel Claris to make any attempt to save it. Silvano Pueblo's late challenge caught a Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Pueblo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to PINGO PINGO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Silvano Pueblo hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides George came free, but Leonel Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Leonel Claris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Jesco. Genaro Maria hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Teodosio Faron hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes PINGO PINGO got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Pes. After having played for 33 minutes, Teobaldo Casomiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Casomiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Pacorro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amado Pacorro struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Leonel Claris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. With a little luck, Independiente's Hector Txartiko got control of the ball when Mário Kempe tried to sneak it across the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Ismael Manilan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PINGO PINGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. Marcelino Henrico replaced Froilan Iruinea. 64 minutes into the match, Amado Pacorro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Claris. PINGO PINGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Pacorro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hector Txartiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Dominguez in the 67th minute of the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Javier Dominguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Hector Txartiko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Arturo Jesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Genaro Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Hector Txartiko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Kempe. Leonel Claris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amado Pacorro went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Leonel Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, PINGO PINGO's Gregorio Pes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gregorio Pes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of PINGO PINGO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gregorio Pes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute, one of PINGO PINGO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PINGO PINGO. Silvano Pueblos short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Hector Txartiko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Independiente walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
