Begu Ganjang's Buyung Tendean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencay Reşan in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendy Widura in the 11th minute of play forced XL-Azrail Team's goalkeeper Şentürk Cihanser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goal looked a bit too open when Gencay Reşan came free, but Buyung Tendean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buyung Tendean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Ersalmış, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Begu Ganjang getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dodi Hermansyah hit a great ball. Eduard Suryadinata kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The XL-Azrail Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şentürk Cihanser should have stopped the shot. The supporters of XL-Azrail Team booed when Begu Ganjang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dewa Šuto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Orhan Karataş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Begu Ganjang's protests and gave Virgiawan Soeprapto a yellow card for diving instead. XL-Azrail Team made a substitution. Arif Memduh Tenzil replaced Ahmet Ziya Sabih. After 69 played minutes Begu Ganjang got a freekick which was hit by Virgiawan Soeprapto. 72 minutes into the game, Begu Ganjang's Virgiawan Soeprapto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şentürk Cihanser made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 76 played minutes XL-Azrail Team got a freekick which was hit by Necaettin Yücesoy. XL-Azrail Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Gencay Reşan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buyung Tendean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Begu Ganjang had won after a very even match.
