With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiaan Wilson in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Antunes saved LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC from getting behind. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Edu Negri managed to work through De Kasteelheren's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edu Negri dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. De Kasteelheren's Guus Kolman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guilherme de Souza in the 16 minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christiaan Wilson came free, but Sydney Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee gave De Kasteelheren a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pieter-Jan Staarman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Sydney Antunes. 0-1. When De Kasteelheren's Christiaan Wilson in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ate Oldenbeuving charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ate Oldenbeuving the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, De Kasteelheren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ate Oldenbeuving to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st match minute, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Negri to maneuver through the defense. If Christiaan Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute of the match De Kasteelheren got a corner. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pieter-Jan Staarman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ate Oldenbeuving recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Luiz Ceresso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sydney Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd van Asten in the 53rd minute of play. Bernard Mülder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Edu Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Mathieu Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ate Oldenbeuving sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjoerd van Asten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sydney Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sjoerd van Asten came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the De Kasteelheren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sjoerd van Asten couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Penha to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Sydney Antunes got control of the ball when Pieter-Jan Staarman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sjoerd van Asten got free with Sydney Antunes in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 played minutes LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Mendes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiaan Wilson got free with Sydney Antunes in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sydney Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christiaan Wilson went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 88 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Onrust. The supporters of LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Onrust didn't get a good kick on the ball.
