When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tuna Selim sped through Trindade Atlético Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chicão Oliveira. Sedat Uzgoren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho de Barros went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 40 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Garcia. Tuna Selim hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Paes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yetkin Şanver hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, Giovani Sergipano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Sedat Uzgoren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Cássio Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sedat Uzgoren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Paes in the 79th minute of play. Sedat Uzgoren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
