Dito Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Christiaan Wilson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Onrust in the 36th minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Dito Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva França came free, but Bernard Mülder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
