A collision led to Fractal FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Guido Barto hit a great ball. Bernard Mülder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Azeari in the 16th minute of the match. De Kasteelheren's Bernard Mülder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Fractal FC booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Eiting didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Azeari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernard Mülder. De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 33rd minute Bruno Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Mülder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Mülder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Barto made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Casimiro Abastas however managed to control. Bernard Mülder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Mateo in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Sjoerd van Asten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Kasteelheren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjoerd van Asten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christiaan Wilson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Bruno Mateo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Kasteelheren's Bernard Mülder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Victor Azeari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ate Oldenbeuving hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Luc Eiting got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 75 minutes, Ernesto Gitano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fractal FC and the De Kasteelheren players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of De Kasteelheren booed when Fractal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Gitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Fractal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ate Oldenbeuving came free, but Amado Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernard Mülder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Azeari in the 78th minute of play. De Kasteelheren's Bernard Mülder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Azeari in the 79th minute of play. After 83 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Hub Groten. Victor Azeari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amado Bonifaco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christiaan Wilson went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
