The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Joel Nuxila got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Bruno Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Noe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes, Rodrigo Dacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metapalo FC and the Fractal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Metapalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Dacio. Rodrigo Dacio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Metapalo FC's Leonides Ledesma seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonides Ledesma the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Metapalo FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonides Ledesma had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 11th minute, one of Metapalo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Metapalo FC. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Isidoro Garcia got a free kick in the 16th minute. Feliciano Noe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Mateo in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Fractal FC got a corner. Metapalo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eduardo Lander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bruno Mateo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Feliciano Noe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Mateo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Bruno Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Feliciano Noe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute, Bruno Mateo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Ildefonso Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Noe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Mateo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Arturo Cambranes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute Bruno Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Noe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fractal FC's Bruno Mateo in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metapalo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Feliciano Noe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Mateo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Noe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Mateo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Fractal FC's Bruno Mateo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feliciano Noe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ildefonso Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Metapalo FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Aurelio Elizardo hit a great ball. Arturo Cambranes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Noe having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Metapalo FC's Aurelio Elizardo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metapalo FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Noe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Victor Azeari fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fractal FC's protests and gave Victor Azeari a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Metapalo FC booed when Fractal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball.
