Luisão Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Egídio Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibirama Futebol Clube. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Maciel got free with Décio Neiva in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Godoi. 6 minutes into the match, Torino SSA's Edmundo Alagoano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Leonardo Maciel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Décio Neiva firmly grabbed it by the left post. Torino SSA's Egídio Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Sabóia in the 17th minute of play. Raimundo Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Torino SSA! Egídio Prado had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Luisão Sabóia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Luisão Sabóia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th match minute, Torino SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Reis to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Róbson Reis during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Torino SSA getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Róbson Reis hit a great ball. Leonardo Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Toledo's late challenge caught a Ibirama Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Torino SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torino SSA's Egídio Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Branco in the 42nd minute of play. Luisão Sabóia hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Torino SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Sabóia came free, but Egídio Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hílton Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Leonardo Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Henrique Branco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egídio Prado, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Branco in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luisão Sabóias short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Egídio Prado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Róbson Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Neiva was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Décio Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Torino SSA were awarded a corner. Edmundo Alagoano went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 82 minutes, Luisão Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirama Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torino SSA made a substitution. Reginaldo Abraão replaced Telmo Leme. When Leonardo Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Torino SSA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Maciel couldn't finish the play. Luís Eduardo Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Ibirama Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibirama Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
