Ibirama Futebol Clube's Henrique Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovânio Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Décio Neiva made a huge save. Décio Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovânio Toscano in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovânio Toscano in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Neiva saved Ibirama Futebol Clube from getting behind. Márcio Trevisan hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Décio Neiva made a huge save. Haroldo Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Sabóia in the 43rd minute of the match. Geovânio Toscano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Décio Neiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 48 minutes into the game, Márcio Trevisan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibirama Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. In the 48th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Vargas. Décio Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Toscano in the 66th minute of play. Luís Eduardo Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Luiz Eduardo Domingues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Décio Neiva skillfully saved the ball.
