When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Peyo made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Usaden Abiche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selebi-Phikwe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Usaden Abiche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Defensores de Mar de Ajó getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Freddy Lapurdi hit a great ball. Thomas Gobeleyns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Ferran in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Defensores de Mar de Ajó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Lidon to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's Herald Dedecker broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Usaden Abiche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Omar Bartuelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Selebi-Phikwe booed when Defensores de Mar de Ajó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Lidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Lionel Van Bockorst got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
