Selebi-Phikwe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Lionel Van Bockorst hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Usaden Abiche came free, but Gil Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Selebi-Phikwe got a freekick which was hit by Benedict van Eijnde. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Lima in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Gobeleyns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the game, Selebi-Phikwe's Alain Roeckeloes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Selebi-Phikwe's zone, Waldemar Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Gobeleyns came out of the goal and Waldemar Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alain Roeckeloes during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alain Roeckeloes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Léo Mendonça got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 46 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Cearense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tiago Mello took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Gobeleyns. Thomas Gobeleyns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gil Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Usaden Abiche, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thomas Gobeleyns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Lima in the 88th minute of the match. Léo Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Gobeleyns. Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matías Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Thomas Gobeleyns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Selebi-Phikwe defense, Matías Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Gobeleyns. The Selebi-Phikwe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Gobeleyns should have stopped the shot. The Selebi-Phikwe players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented AF CERRADO from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
