With a little luck, Pendex's Florentino Haimar got control of the ball when Cankut Bakanay tried to sneak it across the goal line. CAN ERZURUM's Hilmi Yücetekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Elorri in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the CAN ERZURUM defense, Igor Esdras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilmi Yücetekin. The CAN ERZURUM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilmi Yücetekin should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, CAN ERZURUM's Cankut Bakanay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florentino Haimar. Florentino Haimar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Hilmi Yücetekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Elorri in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Ceferino Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilmi Yücetekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cankut Bakanay kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Pendex's Julian Elorri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilmi Yücetekin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hilmi Yücetekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Pendex booed when CAN ERZURUM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rüstem Yaltır didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilmi Yücetekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Gartzi in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Esdras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arın Ferhat Kocaker during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
