After 5 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Pena. Olavo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Hunfredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute Anderson Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Gervaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Bernaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nemesio Firme hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Erasmo Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernan Bartoli charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernan Bartoli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Angua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olavo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Hunfredo in the 27th minute. Anderson Valladares struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Venancio Gervaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascogoianiense FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Camargo in the 33rd minute of play forced Angua FC's goalkeeper Venancio Gervaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ciro Dolfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Bernaldo in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Angua FC's goalkeeper Venancio Gervaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mateo Ofelio kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Júnior Camargo made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Blasco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ciro Dolfos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Olavo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vascogoianiense FC's Olavo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Bernaldo in the 60th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Angua FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Dolfos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júnior Camargo got free with Venancio Gervaso in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olavo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Bartoli in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Hunfredo in the 74th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Olavo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Bernaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Olavo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Dolfos in the 86th minute of the match. Vascogoianiense FC's Olavo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Hunfredo in the 88th minute of play. Angua FC's Fernan Bartoli got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Bernaldo came free, but Olavo Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Angua FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
