Spectators: 7714 (Terracing: 5787, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Psycho-Circus's Cristian Calisto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Panagiotis Bourousis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Psycho-Circus booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Christodoulou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Calisto came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Jakes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Bourousis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Calisto in the 15th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Luca Prodan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manos Papaiakovou. Luca Prodan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Panagiotis Bourousis came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panagiotis Bourousis couldn't finish the play. Cristian Calisto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Psycho-Circus booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Periklis Vakalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Cordarell in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Psycho-Circus got a corner. Go Ahead Eagles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abelardo Cheche ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 31 minutes, Donato Fix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Psycho-Circus and the Go Ahead Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Psycho-Circus got a freekick which was hit by Donato Fix. Emiliano Jakes came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Nikos Moustos. But to his dismay, Nikos Moustos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 45 minutes, Periklis Vakalis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Go Ahead Eagles and the Psycho-Circus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Periklis Vakalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, one of Go Ahead Eagles:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Go Ahead Eagles. Abelardo Cheche placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikos Moustos to make the kick off. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giotis Kouloucheris who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Jakes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Moustos during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Nikos Moustos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Go Ahead Eagles's Nikos Moustos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emiliano Jakes. Emiliano Jakes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 71 played minutes Psycho-Circus got a freekick which was hit by Donato Fix. In the 73rd match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Takis Chatzivrettas to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Jakes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nikos Moustos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 81 minute of play. If Nikos Moustos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute Nikos Moustos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manos Christodoulou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
