Spectators: 7707 (Terracing: 5782, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ignatios Brilakis kicked off to start the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignatios Brilakis in the 16th minute of play. Giorgos Katzelis took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 20th minute, Louis Martinakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Giotis Kouloucheris came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giotis Kouloucheris couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, ΟΦΗ's Sofoklis Stathatos got a free kick in the 25th minute. Periklis Vakalis kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Fanis Sigalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giotis Kouloucheris in the 29th minute of the match. Nikos Moustos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fanis Sigalas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Gerasimos Kallitsis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Panagiotis Bourousis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 41st minute, Ignatios Brilakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of ΟΦΗ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Go Ahead Eagles:s goal. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Beloukas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fanis Sigalas. Fanis Sigalas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Christodoulou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panagiotis Bourousis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes ΟΦΗ got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Katzelis. In the 68th minute Panagiotis Bourousis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Sigalas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sofoklis Stathatos hit a great ball. Apostolos Antoniou kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christodoulos Vazakas to maneuver through the defense. Giorgos Katzelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
