Spectators: 7711 (Terracing: 5785, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Panagiotis Bourousis took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Daustad's Runar Holmgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Kaland in the 6th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Sundnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tord Sundnes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manos Papaiakovou came out and tried to block the shot, but Tord Sundnes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Daustad's Sebastian Kvernmo. But to his dismay, Sebastian Kvernmo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 21st match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ntinos Vounatsos to maneuver through the defense. When Sverre Refsnes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daustad's protests and gave Sverre Refsnes a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Sverre Refsnes. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Periklis Vakalis put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Periklis Vakalis hit a great ball. When Lars Obrestad came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Daustad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Obrestad couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Manos Christodoulou made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Isachsen. Daustad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 41 minutes into the match, Jan-Frode Søderholm notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute Christer Kaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tord Sundnes made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gerasimos Kallitsis hit a great ball. Manos Papaiakovou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tord Sundnes went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Runar Holmgren came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Panagiotis Bourousis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Go Ahead Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. The supporters of Daustad booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Bourousis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Alkinoos Zisimopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daustad's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Manos Christodoulou scored to the left of an out of position Alfred Isachsen, making the score, 6-2. After some careless play in the Go Ahead Eagles defense, Tord Sundnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. The Go Ahead Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manos Papaiakovou should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Go Ahead Eagles players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Daustad.
