Mihnea Potra's late challenge caught a Vascogoianiense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihnea Potra helped the player get up and apologised. Flavius Popoacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Valladares in the 19th minute of the match. Vascogoianiense FC's Olavo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Oroveanu in the 21st minute of play. When Octav Chițu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rovine Craiova's protests and gave Octav Chițu a yellow card for diving instead. Octav Chițu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Flavius Popoacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Camargo in the 27th minute of the match. Ronaldão Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Silviu Stoian struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Olavo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rovine Craiova. Olavo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Chițu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Silviu Stoian made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Iordache Andone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rovine Craiova and the Vascogoianiense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Anderson Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Moisés Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vascogoianiense FC's protests and gave Moisés Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute Ion Jurăscu managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After 64 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Amaral. In the 67th minute Ionuț Oroveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Vascogoianiense FC defense, Silviu Stoian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavo Fonseca. The Vascogoianiense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavo Fonseca should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rovine Craiova's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waldir Faria was slow to take the kick. During this time Vascogoianiense FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Waldir Faria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rovine Craiova's Flavius Popoacă did a great save. Ionuț Oroveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Fonseca having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Túlio Paes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vascogoianiense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rovine Craiova the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Túlio Paes got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Júnior Camargo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Camargo couldn't finish the play. Silviu Stoian was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rovine Craiova's Octav Chițu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rovine Craiova's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
